Cannabinoids are a class of chemical compounds produced in the Cannabis plant, for example THC and CBD, that interact with cannabinoid receptors in the body, producing a range of effects.

Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems. It’s made up of endocannabinoids, receptors in the nervous system and throughout the body, and enzymes to help break up endocannabinoids and cannabinoids. The ECS helps to sustain homeostasis within the body, a self-regulating process to maintain a stable internal environment for optimal performance. According to research, natural cannabinoids from hemp and other plants positively interact with the ECS and can enhance its performance. Small, consistent doses of natural cannabinoids can boost our physiological functions.

Terpenes (and terpenoids) are aromatic, organic hydrocarbons found in many plants and even some insects. Cannabis has naturally high levels of terpenes, and over 100 different terpenes have been identified in the cannabis plant. Each individual terpene is associated with unique effects and can offer additional value when interacting with therapeutic cannabinoids. Terpenes are found in high quantities in various essential oils as well.

Isolate is any cannabinoid in isolation, in its purest form and highest concentration. Depending on the cannabinoid, isolate can vary from crystalline powder or oil form. CBD isolate oil is the CBD isolate, in its crystalline powder form, infused into a carrier oil, such as MCT oil.

Full Spectrum CBD Oil contains all the cannabinoids present in hemp. A good amount of the terpene profile can be present. It also contains a very small amount of THC (0.3% or less, as is legally allowed).

Broad Spectrum CBD Oil usually consists of at least two or more cannabinoids present in hemp. Broad spectrum oil contains zero THC; it is a more refined oil with most of the plant matter, that can be present in full spectrum oil, removed. This includes most terpene content being removed as well.
